General Specifications
Digicall® Spectrum is portable, modular, and flexible enough to use analog and digital media
The system consists of a mobile console with a pullout auxiliary work surface; up to six
lesson sources and/or auxiliary inputs, a teacher headset; and -- for
each student -- one compact transceiver with lightweight headset.
Mobile Console
> The console is a portable teaching station that easily
moves to any room on 4-inch easy-glide casters.
> Dimensions: 45.5"H x 33"W x 29.5"D when the pullout
side-table work surface is retracted. Width is 57" when
the work surface is extended.
> Locking doors secure lesson sources and headsets.
> Stores and secures headsets and instructional materials.
> Includes built-in classroom speaker.
> Accommodates up to 99 students in a single unit.
Instructor Control Panel, Lesson Sources, and Wireless Interface
Secured within the mobile console are lesson sources and a digital control
panel with buttons and displays to manage all wireless audio functions,
including lesson source output, student call, and student monitor/record/intercom.
> Select and transmit via radio frequency up to 6 lessons to the class from
sources that may include a combination of CD-Audio/MP3 player, audio-
cassette, VCR, laserdisc, or computer. The system may also to interact
with video or other external media source.
> Speak confidentially to individual students, talk on any selected lesson
channel to student group(s), or to the entire class.
> Discreetly listen to students, selected manually or by automonitor.
> Intercom to a monitored student, either with or without the lesson source
audio in the background.
> Record any student and lesson, and playback to student in intercom
mode.
> FCC and IC (Industry Canada) certified.
Wireless Student Transceiver Units
> Includes a comfortable, low-cost, lightweight headset with microphone.
> Powered by 2 "C" cell alkaline or rechargeable batteries.
> To conserve battery life, transceiver automatically turns off when console
is turned off. Also may be turned off individually.
> LCD shows lesson channel (one to six) selection, volume level, battery
strength, and broadcast signal strength.
> FCC and IC (Industry Canada) certified.
